Communication and Understanding for English Language Learners

This program prepares teachers to support English Language Learners (ELLs) through student-centered instruction that meets individual needs and promotes academic language development. Teachers will model appropriate language and behaviors for success in U.S. schools and workplaces, collaborate with families and communities to support student learning and parental involvement, and incorporate lessons on civic rights, responsibilities, and engagement.
